Everpure at $126.50

The storage company is becoming an AI data platform. The cash flow must catch the revenue acceleration.

Ticker P used to mean Pandora.

It now belongs to Everpure, the company formerly known as Pure Storage.

That change is more than cosmetic.

Everpure wants investors to see a data-management platform, not a seller of flash arrays.

The latest results support part of that claim.

At $126.50, however, the stock assumes that explosive product growth and hyperscale wins become durable owner earnings.

What Everpure actually controls

Everpure controls a flash-storage architecture designed to improve performance, density, power consumption, and operational simplicity.

The company increasingly sells that architecture as a subscription and data-management platform.

In fiscal Q2 2027, revenue rose 38% to $1.19 billion.

Product revenue grew 54%, subscription-services revenue grew 20%, and subscription ARR reached $2.1 billion.

Remaining performance obligations increased 44% to $4.1 billion.

Why does that matter?

Everpure is winning both immediate hardware demand and longer-duration contracted business.

Business quality versus stock valuation

Q2 GAAP gross margin was 68.4% and GAAP operating income was $63 million.

Non-GAAP operating income was $230 million.

The $167 million gap matters.

Stock-based compensation alone was $160 million in the quarter, up from $117 million a year earlier.

The quarter also produced negative $238 million of free cash flow, even as management raised the full-year outlook.

Revenue acceleration is real.

Cash conversion has not yet caught up.

What $126.50 requires

I use fiscal 2032 as the checkpoint and a 10.3% required annual return over five years.

That hurdle starts with the 5.11% 10-year Treasury yield, adds the 4.14% implied U.S. equity risk premium, and uses a 1.25 bottom-up beta for enterprise hardware and data infrastructure.

At a 28 times terminal earnings multiple, today's price requires roughly $7.40 of normalized fiscal 2032 EPS.

That is far above the current GAAP run rate.

Everpure must turn hyperscale demand, subscriptions, and premium gross margins into much more profit per share.

Three possible outcomes

Conservative: about $54 today

Everpure earns $4 per share in fiscal 2032 and receives a 22 times terminal multiple.

Storage demand remains healthy, but hardware cycles, supply costs, and stock compensation absorb much of the growth.

The company improves.

The valuation resets.

Base case: about $101 today

Everpure earns $7.50 per share in fiscal 2032 and receives a 28 times terminal multiple.

Subscription ARR compounds, hyperscale wins become repeatable, and GAAP margins move toward today's adjusted story.

That outcome still sits below the checked price.

Upside case: about $141 today

Everpure earns $11 per share in fiscal 2032 and receives a 32 times terminal multiple.

This requires the company to become a standard data layer for AI and hyperscale workloads while sustaining strong product growth and materially better cash conversion.

At $126.50, the stock needs something close to my upside case.

Capital intensity, cash flow, and dilution risk

Everpure finished Q2 with $1.0 billion of cash and marketable securities, down from $1.5 billion in the prior-year comparison shown by the company.

It repurchased $69 million of stock during the quarter, but diluted weighted-average shares still rose to 345.6 million from 337.7 million.

That is the ownership test.

Buybacks should reduce the fully diluted count, not merely recycle stock compensation.

The other risk is that a surge in product shipments consumes working capital before the cash arrives.

Growth is valuable only when it converts.

What to watch out for

  • Product revenue and hyperscale design wins - because the current acceleration depends on new large-scale workloads.
  • Subscription ARR and RPO - because contracted software and services make the model more durable.
  • GAAP operating margin - because the gap with adjusted profit is still wide.
  • Free cash flow and working capital - because negative cash conversion cannot persist at a premium valuation.
  • Stock compensation and diluted shares - because repurchases should create, not conceal, ownership gains.
  • Gross margin through supply and pricing changes - because premium hardware economics are central to the thesis.

What could change the thesis

The thesis would strengthen if free cash flow turns sustainably positive, diluted shares fall, and normalized EPS moves toward the $7.40 hurdle.

The thesis would weaken if hyperscale growth proves lumpy, gross margin compresses, or stock compensation continues to absorb most of the GAAP operating profit.

The disconfirming evidence would be spectacular revenue growth without owner-earnings growth.

Bottom line

Everpure is correctly positioned inside AI infrastructure, not consumer media.

Business quality: improving.

Demand momentum: exceptional.

Cash conversion and dilution: unresolved.

Valuation: near my upside case.

At $126.50, Everpure must prove that a storage breakout can become a data-platform earnings machine.

The practical principle: when hardware revenue accelerates faster than cash flow, follow the working capital and the share count before celebrating the growth rate.
